a season of slowing down: life, loss, and returning to the studio
It’s been a year of unexpected loss, reflection, and learning to slow down. In June, I lost my stepdad suddenly, and along with grieving, I spent a lot of time managing his estate in Michigan. It was heavy, emotional, and at times overwhelming — and I made the difficult decision to step back from my business so I could focus on my family, my health, and just… being.
Coming back into the studio this fall has been grounding. Preparing the space for the holidays became a kind of therapy — little by little, the studio came alive with a whimsical floral install on the front door, lush seasonal wreaths, and cozy touches that make a space feel like home. Styling and creating beauty is where I feel calm, centered, and truly myself — it reminds me why I do this work, even after stepping away for a season.
During the Holliston Holiday Stroll, it was such a joy to open the doors and see people pause, take it all in, and tell me the space felt warm, cozy, and inviting. That’s exactly what I hope for in every space I style — a sense of comfort, inspiration, and belonging.
This December, the studio will be open for a few special moments:
studio pop ups: curated seasonal collections, timeless home pieces, and cozy accents
a late night holiday shopping: A single evening to browse the studio, soak in the glow, and find something special.
a winter wreath workshop on Dec 15: seats are limited. Reserve your spot now!
You can always check the studio calendar below.
I am so grateful for your support, your presence, and the patience you’ve shown while I’ve been away. This year has taught me that taking the time to pause, reflect, and step back can make the return to creative work feel even more meaningful.
Here’s to a holiday season filled with little moments of joy, calm, and beauty — and maybe a little magic tucked into every corner.
with light and love,
Krista 🤎
