From incorporating florals and lighter textiles to embracing pastel colors and adding some seasonal decor, there are countless ways to bring a touch of spring into your home. In this blog post, we'll explore five key ways to creating a spring refresh that will help you welcome the season in style.
Bring in Some Florals: Nothing says "spring" quite like fresh flowers and greenery. Whether you opt for a big bouquet of tulips or a simple potted plant, incorporating some natural elements into your decor can instantly brighten up your space and add a touch of springtime cheer.

Add Some Natural Light: As the days get longer, it's time to let more natural light into your home. Consider removing heavy curtains or shades and replacing them with sheer or lightweight options. You could also add a new mirror or two to reflect the natural light and make your space feel brighter and more open.
Embrace Lighter Colors: Spring is all about light, airy colors like pastels and soft neutrals. Try incorporating some of these shades into your decor by adding a new rug or colorful wall art.
Switch up Your Textiles: As the weather gets warmer, it's time to swap out heavy blankets and pillows for lighter, brighter fabrics. Consider adding some colorful throw pillows or swapping out your duvet cover for one with a lighter weight and more cheerful pattern
Incorporate Seasonal Decor: Finally, don't be afraid to add a few seasonal touches to your decor. Consider adding a spring-themed wreath to your front door, swapping out your table linens for something more colorful and cheerful, or even creating a small display of Easter eggs or other seasonal decorations.
By incorporating these 5 elements into your home decor, you can create a spring refresh that will help you shake off the winter blues and embrace the brighter, warmer days ahead!

Easter is a time for family gatherings, good food, and creating beautiful memories. As you prepare for your Easter celebration, one thing you don't want to overlook is your tablescape. A well-designed tablescape can elevate the look and feel of your home and add to the festive atmosphere. In this blog post, I'll share my tips and tricks for creating a timeless and transitional Easter tablescape that you can use year after year.
Keep it Timeless
When it comes to creating a tablescape for the holidays, it's important to keep it timeless. This means choosing items that are reusable and can be blended well in future table settings or holidays. For this Easter tablescape, I've chosen items that reflect my home style, filled with neutral colors such as white, beige, and blues. Starting with the base, I chose a woven charger to bring in texture and natural elements.
Add a Touch of Holiday
While I try to choose items that are transitional, I do like to choose a few items that reflect the holiday. These beautiful handcrafted stoneware plates are muted, yet brings in those spring blooming colors. These timeless plates can be used year after year and handed down to others.
Mix Textures and Materials
To create a cohesive and flowing design, it's important to bring in different textures and materials. In this tablescape, I've paired the stoneware with a champagne-colored silverware to provide a pop of color and contrast on the neutral items chosen. The cloth napkins are a standard blue ticked striped print that can be used throughout the season. I always add a touch of floral to the napkin to bring in some natural element. This year I've focused on thistle stems, while it has a pop of color, it is nicely balanced with greens.
Keep the Centerpiece Simple
Centerpieces add an extra touch of elegance to any tablescape. I've chosen to keep the centerpiece of the table simple and easily transitional after the holiday. I picked a simple white fluted vase and filled it with these beautiful dried Rodanthe flowers, which can be used all summer! It is paired with two beautiful bunnies to complete the Easter tablescape.
Make it Your Own

Finally, don't be afraid to make it your own! In this tablescape, I would actually add some simple muted paint color to the standing bunny to make him pop against the flower vase. Get creative and have fun with it!
Creating a tablescape for your holiday celebration can be a fun. By keeping it timeless, adding a touch of holiday, mixing textures and materials, keeping the centerpiece simple, and making it your own, you can create a beautiful tablescape that you can use year after year.

Falling in love with your front porch

Can you believe fall is right around the corner? As we transition our home decor into fall, I always look forward to decorating the front porch. With keeping Halloween in mind, I like to start off with a neutral palette that can easily transition between Halloween and Thanksgiving. I always change out the accent rug under my doormat providing a pop of color. To give the area more dimension, I fill in the steps with soft colored toned mums and pumpkins. To anchor the door, I always add in corn stalks as they provide the perfect texture to the space. This year I have been eyeing this beautiful pampas grass wreath from CB2. It provide the warmest welcome to any space. I haven't decorated my front porch yet, but I am eager to get started. Have you started to decorate?
